- model: "MK0" Very early tall frame - hubdate: 68 4 -
framenumber: 0416*** - wherenumber: dropout - colour: yellow - location:
The New England Muscle Bicycle Museum, USA - Description: This chopper
is a very early tall frame with the reverse rear caliper mount and
rear brake cable running through the frame. The sissy bar is 6 inches
or so shorter between the tabs and the bottom. The handle bars are
an inch or so shorter where the grips go. The rear brake cable need
be 68" long.It is a S5, 3+2 model.The kick stand mounting angle
is a bit too steep when compared to the later 69 bikes. There are
no springs. The Chainguard has a radius bend where the frame exits.
- Comments: I rapaired the frame breaks at the seat tube bracket
and reworked the bad welds at the drop outs. After asking valued
friends, I deceided to perserve the original paint and chrome where
possible and to replace with NOS parts the absent peices. This bike
can always be restored to its full glory, but can be original only
once. I am tickled pink to own this rare chopper.

- model: Factory Replacement Frame MK1 1975? - framenumber: 2324***
- wherenumber: dropout - colour: Black - location: The New England
Muscle Bicycle Museum, USA - Description: The bike was built up
from a NOS "replacement under warrenty" frame made to
replace a busted MK1 frame under Raleigh guarentee. It has factory
MK2 yellow decals, and was assembled using MK1 style welds in a
MK1 shape. THere is an "arrow wedge" decal on the top
tube.It has beed restored with all NOS parts. - comments: I may
tone this down a bit. For years it was a 3+2 HBR,but it is likely
that the frame would have replaced a frame from a specific model,
not a bastardization of available parts.I think she will be a more
common LBR 3sp.

yellow - location: U.S.A., Muscogee/Georgia, Columbus - Description:
It's a yellow girlie chopper in perfect condition, well minus a
little seat damage. - comments: I've never seen, or heard anything
about Raleigh Choppers until two days ago when I walked in a bike
shop with this one on sale, I knew right away I had to have it.
Everyone in my family says they're the ugliest bikes they've ever
seen, i think they're the coolest things ever. I put a down payment
on one today and should have it in my grasp within a week! Yeah
baby!
